Ludo is a huge talent with strong confirmation and powerful quarters allowing him to show his extravagent paces. He posesses huge scope and precise carefulness and has a fantastic temperament.
He competed up through the levels with top Austrian rider Gerfried Puck.
He has competed and won at 1.60m level. He has been placed in the FEI Sires of the World International competition for approved Sires and in Grand Prixs such as Linz Championship CSI0 in 2001. Zagreb United Nations CSI0 in 2001 and Premio Land Rover International Competition to name but a few.
Ludo is by Elmshorn, who was a member of the Swedish Showjumping team and was placed in Grand Prixs such as Copenhagen and Falsterbo. 'Ludo's' grand-sire Lord has been an influence in many show jumpers all over the globe and is a son of the wonderful blood horse 'Ladykiller'.
Ludo also has a very strong dam-line, his dam 'Gicini' was a winner at 1.50m level herself and was sired by the 'Keur' awarded stallion Renville who showjumped Internationally with Bert Romp winning the Grand Prix in Rotterdam. His grand-dam Cicini is by Nimmerdor (The KWPN stallion of the Century).
[Photo above] - Three month old filly by Ludo who went on to qualify for Irelands first Elite Foal Sale held at Cavan Equestrian Centre in Oct 08. These foals were expertly judged based on quality, movement and performance pedigree. Several Northern Ireland Sires were represented at the judging day although Ludo was the only Northern Ireland based sire to have a foal make the final selection.
Ludo has recently been DNA tested and found to be Homozygous Black meaning he will never produce a chestnut foal, regardless of the colour of mare. This is great news for owners of chestnut mares who dont want to produce chestnut foals.

Sylvano brings a unique touch of class and elegance, he oozes quality and has fabulous paces.
He is by the legendary Samber who reached Grand Prix level in dressage and then went onto a showjumping career were he went to Grade A level.
His dam Hyrigette was by Rossini, imported in the Netherlands in 1987, had been showjumping at 1.40-1.50m level in Germany.
Sylvano is currently showjumping on the SJAI curcuit.
Sylvano is siring a high percentage of coloured foals who all display his wonderful temperament.
While every care is taken, Drumadarragh Stud and their associates will not be held responsible for any accident, injury, illness or disease to visiting mares or foals. Likewise, we do not hold mare owners responsible, for any accident or injury to our stallions, helpers or ourselves, caused by their mares and foals.
The Stud reserves the right to have veterinary attention for any mares and foals, if they deem necessary, at the owners expense.
All stud fees come with a No Foal Free Return quarantee, which entitles the owner, who's mare does not go in foal or looses the pregnancy within the first year of cover, to a free return for the following year.
All outstanding stud fees and keep charges must be paid in full before the mare leaves thestud. (No Exeptions).
Mares left at the Stud are subject to keep charges as follows:
Mare with Foal - £4 per day
Mare - £3 per day
Please note all mares must have back shoes removed.
